Project Overview

The Digital Museum of Learning (DMoL) is a forward-thinking online platform dedicated to exploring the past, present, and future of education. Built with the vision of democratizing access to rich, engaging educational resources, the platform presents curated digital exhibitions and storytelling experiences that appeal to both young learners and their educators. Its mission is to make high-quality learning universally accessible, engaging, and inclusive.

The Jacobs Foundation partnered with enfiweb to turn this vision into reality. Our challenge was to create a digital platform that not only educates but inspires—blending cutting-edge technology with pedagogical best practices and museum-quality storytelling.

Our Approach

We began with extensive discovery sessions to understand the goals of the foundation, the learning needs of children aged 4–12, and the technical expectations of educators and museum collaborators. From that foundation, we followed a five-pillar approach:

Key Features Delivered

1. Virtual Exhibitions

Crafted interactive digital exhibitions focusing on core educational themes like identity, sustainability, and innovation in learning. Each exhibit includes images, animations, quizzes, and immersive text.

2. Interactive Storytelling

Developed multi-chapter narratives that children can explore at their own pace, with embedded questions, animations, and knowledge checkpoints.

3. Teacher Resources Portal

Provided downloadable worksheets, classroom activities, lesson plans, and video explainers—customizable by grade and topic.

4.Dynamic Content Management System (CMS)

Enabled educators and admins to easily add new exhibits, stories, and resources with a drag-and-drop interface—no coding required.

5.User Dashboard & Roles

Designed individual dashboards for students, teachers, museum curators, and platform administrators to track progress, manage content, and view insights.

6.Localization Support

Built-in translation capabilities and language toggles for expanding content reach across multiple geographies and educational systems.

7.Analytics & Engagement Tracking

Integrated tracking tools that provide insights into content performance, engagement rates, and user behavior to inform future improvements.

8.Security & GDPR Compliance

Implemented data protection and encryption mechanisms to safeguard the privacy of young users, with all features built in compliance with European regulations.
